Tesla Roadster Price and Review
Tesla “Signature One Hundred” initial set of fully equipped vehicles sold by the end of August, 2006. Tesla Motors then began to take orders for booking in September 2006 for its 2008 models, with several payment options available for determining the delivery date of 2008 vehicles. The second one hundred have been set aside in October. As of January 15, 2008, all the 650 Tesla roadsters scheduled for model year 2008 have been reserved. As it was initially only available in the U.S., where traffic is maintained at the right side of the road (RHT), roadsters are only available with the steering wheel on the left side (LHD).
Final pricing for the 2008 Tesla Roadster base model was $ 98,000 in the U.S., plus a $ 950 destination. Most of the first 200 roadsters ordered by October 2006, came fully loaded with all optional equipment at a cost of approximately U.S. $ 100,000.
By 2009, Tesla plans to deliver 1500 cars. The price of model 2009 has been increased to $ 109,000 from the U.S., the options ranging from the colors of heavy audio cables can add $ 10,000
In February 2009, Tesla had reached an agreement to open stores in Chicago, and was close to finalizing locations in Miami, New York, and Seattle.
