Marketing does funny things. Recently the word “coupe” has been rendered null and void of meaning by crafty marketing types behind cars like the Mercedes-Benz CLS, BMW X6 and Volkswagen CC, while the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo has sucked every last ounce of truth, honesty and passion from the term “Gran Turismo.” It’s now just advertising flim-flam.
Subaru may just have the answer – Hot!

If the Impreza WRX isn’t tough enough for you, Subaru may just have the answer. The Japanese firm has announced the WRX ‘R205′- boosted to produce 312bhp thanks to a re-mapped ECU and a new exhaust and turbo.
Elsewhere, the newcomer is fitted with newly tuned suspension and a stiffer chassis that should answer criticism of the WRX’s shifting weight balance. Larger, more powerful brakes have also been added.

Automakers 2010 appears to be no different for GM

The North American International Auto Show is typically the big show for Detroit-based automakers and 2010 appears to be no different for General Motors. Chris Preuss, GM’s vice president of communications, has hit Twitter confirming that each of the General’s four brands will have at least one vehicle to display at the Detroit Auto Show next month.
Chevrolet figures to have a somewhat quieter show, with its big reveal being the Aveo RS, which we hear is all-new and very little like the narrow and unattractive B-Segment hatch GM is selling now.
