The Nissan 370Z is a true sports car, in my view. We’ve heard many arguments over the years about just exactly what constitutes a sports car. After all, the early ones didn’t necessarily have a lot of power and newer ones perhaps have too many comforts.

One wedgelike body style, two front seats, modest cargo areas, and a 3.7-liter V-6 that pumps out 332 horsepower.

Inevitably, this all adds up to more money. The base price-$37,690-is just $100 more than the outgoing 350Z roadster’s, but our upscale Touring edition starts north of the $40K frontier, edging closer toward Porsche Boxster territory.
