2011 Peugeot 408
This is the new Peugeot 408, which has been caught testing in heavy disguise.
As previously revealed by Autocar, the replacement for the 407 will be more conservatively styled and less of a visual leap forward as its predecessor.
Peugeot BB1 Concept
Peugeot has unveiiled that strangest-shaped car at the show! Dubbed the BB1 concept, the pure electric city car uses a clever-seating configuration to cram four passenger into its tiny footprint – smaller even than the Toyota IQ.
Twin electrc motors mounted inside the rear wheels give a combined output of around 20bhp, plenty of power for something weighing in at only 600kg.
And it wasn’t the only electric car on Peugeot’s patch in Frankfurt. The iOn is essentially a rebadged Mitsubishi MiEV, but that’s no bad thing. It’s lithium-ion batteries can deliver a 130km range, a top speed of 80mph and can be fully recharged in just six hours. Sales will start at the end of next year.

Peugeot BB1
This is the Peugeot BB1 concept car – a green city car concept for show in Frankfurt.
The images show the two-door, four-seat concept in a city. In one shot it is being refuelled with vegetables, hinting at its green credentials. Another photo showing solar panels suggests it is either an electric or hybrid car.
